I think that the 'o' in some languages is the masculine version, e.g Antonio, Carlo, etc.

Willow ... oh, now I do like that one

BikeRunSki · 09/08/2011 10:23

Cleo

But as someone has said "o" is often the ending of boy's names.

MsChanandlerBong · 09/08/2011 10:24

Could it be just an 'o' sound... eg Harlow.
Or Rosario.
Leelo (might be made up that one... isn't that the girl off Futurama?!)

It's tricky isn't it. Agree with HoneyPablo that I think 'o' names tend to be the masculine version.

I agree, it's a masculine ending for lots of names. I like Cleo though. Looking for a sister for Nina, unsure about having two -a names (my name is an -a name too)..

I would go for Clio rather than Cleo. Clio is a Muse, whereas Cleo is an abbreviation Grin

birdofthenorth · 10/08/2011 10:38

Rather an abbreviation than a car! Smile

It never gave my cousin Marina any trouble .....

Cinquecento has a nice ring to it.

Margot

hulabula · 10/08/2011 15:06

In languages other than French Margot ends in a t, so Mar-gott.

Bandwithering · 10/08/2011 15:09

Amparo

Clio and Juno are lovely. Those'd make good twin names.
