I'm due in Oct, the gender isn't know.

At the moment we're liking Ariadne Beatrice for a girl. What do you think?

Spiders here too. Not sure why. I think together they are a bit of a mouthful.

Ariadne is my dd's name. Like Rosa, we have a Greek connection, BUT all her English family absolutely LOVE the name! And it has a nice meaning too.

I love Ariadne, but DH vetoed it because it sounds too much like araignée - he's French, so I accepted his judgment on that one.

Ariane on the other hand he loves. And we both love Beatrice.

So on the whole I'm in favour of it :)

It's a bit try hard for me. I like Beatrice but DH wouldn't have any royal family names Grin

I think it is lovely.

How can you 'try too hard' to find a lovely, underused name for your dd? Surely it is an important decision.

Ariadne is lovely. Feminine and not overused. Great choice imo.
