Should I do it or too much of a tongue twister? Would put Gabriel on bc but would be known as Gabe. Got my heart set! What do you think?

Hmm. Gabe Brown sounds like Gay Brown, no? So unless we get rid of homophobia over the next 6 years or so, I'd stick with Gabriel.

Yep see what you mean! No our surname is not Brown.

Typically if someone uses a shortened version of your name, they're not going to use your surname too, surely?

Hey, Gabe, check this out!
This is our senior partner, Gabriel Barclay.

Gabe B does remind me of the term coined for Elton John & David Furnish's baby though 'Gay-be' (instead of baby) but as Teela said, not many people will use Gabe Bsurname, rather Gabe or Gabriel Bsurname.
