Please help. I've been through them all and am now at

Nathan or Ethan

Which one do you prefer?

Ethan, for my vote

Sidge · 20/07/2011 09:32

Ethan.

DialMforMummy · 20/07/2011 09:38

Ethan, but really like both.

Faggotsnpeas · 20/07/2011 09:39

My vote is for Ethan, but do like both

PrincessJenga · 20/07/2011 09:41

Ethan. Unless I know you in real life! I must be due about the same time as you are and it's top of my list.

I prefer Nathan - only because I know the most hateful child called ethan and that puts me off.

WaitingForBabyD · 20/07/2011 09:55

Another vote for Ethan

Noleen · 20/07/2011 09:58

Thanks, do you think it can be shortened by people though? I know Nathan can become Nate, would Ethan be shortened to ET?

Faggotsnpeas · 20/07/2011 11:43

I dont know any Ethan's that are shortened, but that doesnt mean they are not. Ethan was always going to be the the name for our son due in October untill we both just decided we no longer wanted it. We still love the name though!!

wigglesrock · 20/07/2011 12:05

I prefer Ethan to Nathan but I prefer Nathanial to both of them, I love Nate as a nn, but just not Nathan.

minipie · 20/07/2011 12:19

Ethan

pilates · 20/07/2011 12:58

Nathan with nn Nat

MetalSian · 20/07/2011 13:16

I know an Ethan and I shorten his name to literally 'E' =D.

lazylula · 20/07/2011 23:47

I like both, but Ethan would be my favourite, but not sure about a shortening of it, as if I had had it I wouldn't want it shortened (out of my 3 children we only have 1 name that can be shortened and we do not shorten it at all).

threefeethighandrising · 20/07/2011 23:55

Ethan. Or Nathaniel. (But I am currently trying to evict a piss-taking lodger called Nathan so I'm very biased!)

But I would have said that anyway, honest! My good friend had an Ethan, it's a lovely, beautiful name. Nathan sounds like a teenager or adult to me. It's a much harder sounding name IMO and nothing special really. (Sorry to any Nathans!) I like Nate but as others have said what about Nathaniel if you're really keen on Nate?

superjobee · 20/07/2011 23:57

ethan is gorgeous i love it and would probably be naming DS it if it wasnt for OH mentioning mission impossible. he refused point blank because of tom cruise!

duchesse · 20/07/2011 23:57

As in 6 days before he's born, or 6 days short of 6 week registration timescale? If the former, relax!
