Lucas, Malachi or Gethin

DC2 is due at the end of October and we have just started thinking about names. We dont know if it will be a boy or a girl but we are pretty certain we know what we will call the baby if its a girl (Erin, just in case your interested).
We like Lucas, Malachi and Gethin for a boy but we cant decide.
What do you think of these 3 names???

I love Malachi and Lucas, but not Gethin sorry.

Tbh, I despaired when I saw your boy name list.
Malachi is okay, really, but I shudder at Mal as nn (mal=bad in Spanish).
Chi and Luke are okay.
Caleb is brilliant! The 4yo Caleb I know has a brother called Jack.

LOVE Caleb. Really dont like Gethin. Lucas seems very american too me so not so keen but Malachi is nice and strong. Caleb is my fave tho :)

I really like Gethin (and am Welsh). Quite like Lucas and Malachi is OK, but much prefer Gethin. Its a good strong name.

I love Lucas, but we have one so I'm biased. :)

Lucas - prefer Luke as it sounds stronger
We actually chose Lucas because it is softer sounding than Luke, DS can always choose to have Luke as a nn when he's older if he wishes.

Sorry but really don't like either Gethin or Malachi, not a massive fan of Lucas either tbh

Lucas & Malachi are both nice.

If I saw Malachi written down with an i I would assume they were Jewish.

Gethin looks and sounds very unattractive to me, sorry.

Lucas is best even though it makes me think immediately of George Lucas and Star Wars. As you say, he can be Luke as a nn when he is older which is easy to live with.

Malachy but personally prefer it pronounced Mal a key.

Gethin I LOVE, but I'm half welsh so could just get away with it. Except DH says he'd have kids in the playground shouting "get In"!
