and thought it was lovely.

I would never have thought of it before, but this little baby was gorgeous, and so was her name.

Just thought I would share it with you all.

It is very nice. I also like Sybil.

Rhubarbgarden · 09/07/2011 21:27

It's beautiful. I love Sybil too, such a shame Fawlty Towers has made it unusable.

itsohsoquiet · 09/07/2011 21:38

Yes Cecilia is lovely. Very soft and feminine.

It is a beautiful name, but I always end up singing the Simon and Garfunkel song when I hear it Blush

Love cecilia. Was on the shortlist for dd1 but dh vetoed it. I think St Ceilia was the patron saint of music, which I found lovely. Cece is also a cute nn.

Cecilia is lovely, and so is Sybil. I don't think Faulty Towers has made it unusable - I would use it in a shot.

BustersOfDoom · 09/07/2011 22:59

Cecilia is indeed lovely. But Sybil? Sorry no, it is such an ugly name. Had I been called Sybil I would have down the Deed Poll office as soon as I was old enough to change it! And I have a traditional 'middle class' girl's name that I've never really liked but I thank my lucky stars that I wasn't called Sybil.

Cecilia is very pretty. Patron saint of music too.

pinkgirlythoughts · 10/07/2011 09:43

DS would probably have been Imogen Cecelia if he'd been a girl. Love it!

LeoTheLateBloomer · 10/07/2011 09:48

Cecelia was on my shortlist of 3 when DD was born Smile

wigglesrock · 10/07/2011 10:24

Its pretty but also makes me think of the song. It is also a bit of a granny/ old fashioned name and not in a nice way where I'm from.

TryLikingClarity · 10/07/2011 19:05

I love that, plus I love Celia.

DH didn't like it though Hmm

hulabula · 10/07/2011 20:32

Nice name but the meaning would put me off (latin blind).

Hedwig3 · 11/07/2011 12:26

Not keen because it sets off that annoying song in my head

but I really like Cecily and Celia.
