If you had a George, what other boys names would work?

I have a DS named George.

If i was to have a DS2, what other boys names work with George? He was named after my grandfather. I like old-fashioned traditional names but ones that aren't too popular (i.e. not Thomas, William etc).

My thoughts so far are Felix, Theodore, Edward, Angus (nn Gus), Oliver (yes very popular I know), Fergus....

I can't think of any other names. I seem to have trouble finding something that is old-fashioned and not popular but then not completely ridiculous. My DH tends more to the Thomas, James type names which are lovely but everyone seems to have one. I prefer something a little less popular.

thumbwitch · 29/06/2011 14:17

The ones that immediately spring to mind are Thomas and Harry but they are very popular.

Less popular currently:
Samuel
Peter
Bertie (from Albert, Bertram, Bertrand, Cuthbert, Egbert, and probably lots more)
Freddie (Wilfred, Frederick, Alfred etc.)
Alistair

mintymellons · 29/06/2011 14:17

I was thinking Arthur too.

Has the same kind of ring as Geore and isn't too popular.

pinkgirlythoughts · 29/06/2011 14:18

Harry. Just off the top of my head I can think of three families that have a 'Harry and George,' and another two little boys named Harry George.

Or how about:
Samuel
Peter
Caleb
Isaac
Arthur

Oscar
Edward
Alexander
