This is my name! I have always loved it, and have been told countless times how much people envy it.
As a child I had a 'cutesy' nickname and people naturally changed to a more grown-up one when I got older.
I have never ever been called Liz, which I dislike.
My grandparents also called me different nicknames, which I loved, and I have only once met someone who uses the same nickname as me - not that it is unusual, I think people just overestimate how often the classic names are used.
I rarely use the full name elizabeth, but it always sounds good when I introduce myself to people ie in job interviews.
