Christina - ok but don't like Chris or Chrissie
Anita - not keen
Emily - classic but way too popular for me
Rachel - not keen, just makes me think of friends
Marianne - ok, probably my favourite from your list
Naomi - not keen again sorry.

tummytickler · 27/05/2011 13:58

I like Anita and Naomi.
Marianne and Emily are OK.
Really dislike Rachel and Christina.

dunmoanin · 27/05/2011 14:06

My favourite name on your list is Rachel. This was on my list during my last pregnancy.

I don't like Christina, Anita or Marianne

Emily is a pretty name but very popular, although that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Whenever I hear Naomi all I can think of is that it's I Moan spelt backwards! Also I think it's easily mispronounced - nigh-oh-me or nay-oh-me which can probably be annoying.

oohlaalaa · 27/05/2011 14:08

Christina - love
Anita - okay
Emily - like
Rachel - like
Marianne - love
Naomi - like

JaneBennet · 27/05/2011 15:50

I only like Emily and Marianne from your list, with a preference for Emily.

A week! How exciting for you.

valiumbandwitch · 27/05/2011 16:14

Christina - I quite like it. It's coming back into fashion after a rest. Christie would be lovely. I also like Christabel.
Anita - no!!! why do I keep seeing this on people's lists. It's so down trodden sounding.

Emily - Lovely but too many out there.
Rachel - beautiful
Marianne beautiful
Naomi lovely

I would go for Rachel or Marianne, but I also really like Naomi.

Anita is the only one that makes me say meh.

Sylvaniasandwich · 27/05/2011 16:16

Marianne is a lovely name I think.

JamieAgain · 27/05/2011 18:14

I suggest several of these a lot on babynames

Christina
Anita
Marianne

Love all those

Rachel is nice too

squeak2392 · 27/05/2011 19:27

Christina, Rachel or Marianne.

updiffed · 27/05/2011 19:33

Rachel is a great under used name
Naomi and Emily very common here
Marianne, Christina are all a bit "my mum's name" from my generation (1970's baby)

Fandangos · 27/05/2011 19:44

Speaking as a 'Rachel', I think my parents did really well actually, as I'm 32 and it's a name I still like, it never became incredibly popular, so I never felt like my name was very common, but not unheard of either. I think it's quite original today, as I've not heard of any other babies being called Rachel recently.

pilates · 27/05/2011 19:52

Only like Emily out of your choice of names

Maternelle · 27/05/2011 21:30

Marianne is gorgeous.

gleechie · 28/05/2011 10:41

Adore Emily, its popular for a reason. Great name.

BabesandJugs · 28/05/2011 10:57

Emily is a timeless classic name - although some people say it's very popular, and it may be in some areas it certainly isn't around where i am. Em, Emz, Emmy for short are of the general nn's?

I love Christina - nn's though are usually Chrissie, Chris, Tina - but Christie is fab!

Marianne - not sure

Rachel is fine too (although will most probably get Rach for short - which is a shame!)

Naomi - depends on the way it's pronounced - my cousin is Naomi (nay-oh-me) and she's never met another one!

kizzyboo5 · 28/05/2011 21:00

I know a Marianna (pretty version of Marianne) and she is known as Mari.
Just a suggestion... :)

chocolatchaud · 28/05/2011 21:10

Emily and Marianne are lovely
