Is Harvey a chav name?

I think it's cute but have a warning bell that it might be chavvy - does the Katie Price association ruin it, or am I being a pretentious twat worrying about such things?

I'm not keen, I'm afraid.

FunnysInTheGarden · 27/05/2011 22:10

isn't Harley even more chavtastic than Harvey?

Mm82 · 23/02/2015 08:04

What a ridiculous comment - is a name chavy..... Any name can be made chavy as you put it. If your looking for names why not look at naming after current family members

Findingthisdifficult1234 · 23/02/2015 08:11

I think it's a nice name OP

ArcheryAnnie · 23/02/2015 08:15

I know a lovely 6 year old Harvey. I did not know Katie Price had children, let alone what they were called, so my opinion is entirely unaffected by her choices.

Showy · 23/02/2015 08:22

Zombie thread. Harvey isn't a chav. He is rotting and after your brains...

LittleBairn · 23/02/2015 15:35

The only Harvey I knew was a lovely boy not Chavy in the slightest. He was accepted into The Royal Ballet school, but I'm not sure if he took up the offer. He was also musically talented too.

RedHairedGeek · 23/02/2015 18:18

why do you think KP chose it? She can't be held responsible for ruining it!

It's not very popular though. I don't know any.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 23/02/2015 18:26

I'd say so, mind you. I'm really fussy about names though. Some names actually irritate me. I don't know why.

fattymcfatfat · 23/02/2015 18:46

Grin showy...

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 23/02/2015 18:48

Yes

"If your looking for names why not look at naming after current family members"

The OP probably isn't looking for names now. The thread is nearly 4 years old.

Madamecastafiore · 23/02/2015 18:57

Yes tres chav IMO.

Mrsteddyruxpin · 23/02/2015 19:04

Why not go for Harry ?

TheCatAteMyTaxReturn · 23/02/2015 19:16

if you spell it Hervey, its quite aristocratic

but only as a surname....

queentroutoftrouts · 23/02/2015 19:25

Aries, how can you call a child a terrible little chav? That is appalling and I would hate to think you were teaching my child.ShockSad

queentroutoftrouts · 23/02/2015 19:27

Oops didn't realise how old this thread is.

Nightstar · 23/02/2015 20:43

Yup, chavtastic.

Harvey, Jaydon, Lee, Darren and Marley! All regularly heard in our local soft play (right on the edge of the really rough bit of town)

Annietheacrobat · 23/02/2015 20:50

I know this is a zombie thread but must point out the poster who predicted that KP would be in obscurity by now was unfortunately wrong!

Nickers1 · 23/02/2015 20:52

My dog is called Harvey.

Atlanticblue · 23/02/2015 20:56

I don't think it's a name I would associate with being middle class.

Not everyone cares about this - but if you do, Harvey is one to avoid.

wobblebobblehat · 23/02/2015 21:32

The first thing I thought of was Katie Price, sorry. Cute but chav connotations...
