That's it really.

First dd, English/Scottish, living SE england

Any opinions on either of these?

Is one more popular than the other? What do they make you think?

Isla is better because it is okay when you're an adult unlike Daisy, but it is a very popular name so is getting a tad boring.

CharlieBoo · 22/05/2011 20:20

Daisy is beautiful, I am biased though, mines 2 now, always get people telling us how lovely it is. There are so many cutesy names now that in 20 years time no one will bat an eyelid at a grown up Daisy, poppy, Tilly etc. Never much been a fan of Isla. Good luck!

Frankie000 · 22/05/2011 20:47

I have a 12 year old Daisy and have never once regretted giving her the name, its beautiful. And Ive never met another Daisy so its def not popular around where I live! :)

I know 2 new born babies called Daisy and Isla.

Isla would be my choice.

What about Iona??

oohlaalaa · 23/05/2011 11:25

Isla

meltedchocolate · 23/05/2011 12:00

Defo Isla. Not a daisy fan really

Happygomummy · 23/05/2011 12:05

I think Indith is spot on. Isla is far more graceful.

BikeRunSki · 23/05/2011 12:11

Both v popular, but Isla far nicer, more elegant and will grow with her.

devoncreamtea · 23/05/2011 12:42

Isla. Much more 'classically' pretty. Daisy is ok, but v.v. popular now.

GoodDaysBadDays · 12/07/2011 10:29

Isla (my gorgeous niece) is 6 days old today :)

love Isla. :)

Fifis25StottieCakes · 12/07/2011 18:56

Ive got a Romilly Daisy

I actually dislike the name as a 1st name as it sounds wrong on a grown woman

PanicMode · 12/07/2011 19:00

There are lots of both here, but they are both pretty names. I prefer Isla or Iona.

brodanbell · 12/07/2011 19:28

Prefer Isla. When I think of Daisy I am always reminded of Hyacinth Bucket's slobby and slightly slow sister Daisy - (the one married to Onslow).

Mumbrane · 12/07/2011 21:16

Both nice names. i think I prefer Isla by a whisker.

spottyock · 12/07/2011 21:30

I have a Daisy. I chose it because even though it is girly, I think it could fit a tomboy - not too cute.

Isla is pretty too, but I am bias.
