I love old style cutesy names (DD in this ilk) but even I can't help thinking Herbie is a bit silly. I'm sorry!

Its too much imo. Maybe it would be acceptable with Herbert on the bc with the option to use Bert or Bertie but I'm not convinced

nokissymum - he tried Bert but hated that too. He's used to it, but it doesn;t mean he likes it
