I remember seeing a baby girl with the unfortunate name of Jezebel. She must be school-age by now. Poor child!

We were on holiday with a 1yo called Red this year - it rather suited him actually and it's not a new name is it? I have heard before.

Ikea is stupid I agree but not as bad as for eg Chardonnay or Moet ffs

I bet they pronounce it MOAY as well

I met a midwife who delivered a baby who was going to be called Crystal Alexis (in the days of Dynasty, dates me, no??) she must be a teenager now...poor thing

flamesparrow · 09/11/2005 15:08

Red I like...

Gem754 · 09/11/2005 15:17

Heard about a baby whose name was pronouced A - shole - e. But it was spelt, well there was an extra "s" in it, you know what I mean. Poor child, it was it the states I think.

nailpolish · 09/11/2005 15:18

i have a friend called crystal, she really suits it! must ask her if her middle name is alexis though

roosmoo · 09/11/2005 15:43

also like Red

Tabs · 09/11/2005 15:59

Wasn't there a famous 'Red' to do with oil or firefighting or planes or something - Red Adaire I think?

I like Alexis, but since my surname isn't Carrington Colby Dexter I guess I won't use it for my own!

Auntymandy - hope it was Marguerita and not Pepperoni!!

calebsmum · 09/11/2005 22:58

I work with a guy called red, full name is redvers, it's a family name. My son is called Caleb and I don't see it as being that unusual? Hate the crappy spellings more though, Brit-knee anyone??

flamesparrow · 10/11/2005 09:23

DH was very against Red - said it sounded too Fraggle like
