Boy with a J, any ideas?

DH and I are struggling with a boys name starting with a J. Our other 2 have J names so we want this one to start with a J as well. Trouble is he isn't that keen on mine and I'm not that keen on his. Ideally I want to avoid really popular names as the other 2 have vaguely unusual names but we are really struggling . . . . any ideas gratefully received!

Can I ask in all seriousness, when they're older and a letter arrives to Mr J. Surname, what will you do?

But if your set on it...
Jago
Jude
Jonathon
Jasper
Joss

Joel is nice and a bit unusual....

My favourite is pingu's suggestion above - Jasper is a lovely, lovely name.

Thank you!

Pingu Yes we have thought about that and a friend had that problem when she was younger but they managed it!

We also didn't intentionally call our other 2 names with the same letter but somewhere during the second pregnancy dh caved and gave me the boys name I loved (Jasper) and it just so happened to start with the same letter as our dd. We didn't even think of it at the time, or even until I got pregnant this time but we now think it might sound a bit odd if 2 have the same letter and the third a different one (obviously we could just be mad Grin)!

Lockets My mum told me about them . . . . had completely forgotten about it (do have to admit if we have that many I would change the letter a few times :))

I have a Jasper too - great choice Grin

I'm mulling over Jago for DS3.....

squeak2392 · 11/05/2011 21:49

If you're planning on having another one after this, then 2 out of 4 J names could easily be a coincidence.

My favourite J names are:
Jack
James
Jameson
Jason
Jasper
Jeremy
Joel
Jonah
Jonathan
Joshua
Justin

If you want more unusual names then I'd say Jeremy, Julian, Julius, Jethro.

I have a Johnny.

I also like Jem.

AppleyEverAfter · 12/05/2011 11:22

I love Joseph. Then you can have Joe or Joey too.

I also love Jonjoe! Or Jon-Joe/John-Joe.

AppleyEverAfter · 12/05/2011 11:23

Or Jonjo!

dottyaboutstripes · 12/05/2011 11:36

I have a Jasper and a Jude as middle name for another of mine :)

Sorry, I associate siblings names intentionally starting with the same letter with the pointless Kardashians.

Lavitabellissima · 13/05/2011 17:37

Jesse?
