Not sure what we're having, but it's due in December.

Really uninspired by boys names but here are our thoughts so far. I have a dd already called Polly.

Robert nn Bert
Freddie
Edward nn Eddie
Ernest nn Ernie

I'd be interested to know what you thought. Surname is Duckworth.

I like Robert and Ernest - I prefer Bertie, but I'm not very keen on Ernie.

Freddie and Edward are super popular at the moment.

TheVisitor · 08/05/2011 14:58

Bert and Ernie are Sesame Street characters and sound like old men. Freddie and Eddie are okay.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 08/05/2011 15:02

To suggest Bert and Ernie in the same batch does sound a bit strange.

For what it's worth -
I like Edward and hate Eddie
Like Frederick and hate Freddie
Like Ernest but detest Ernie
Feel nothing either way for Robert but dislike Bert.

Sorry.

Freddie's a seriously cool name, my Godson is a Freddie (he's 7)...I only know another one who's 6 and that's it.

MelinaM · 08/05/2011 15:19

Love Edward ...especially the nn TeddySmile

Freddie is a fab name too, not so keen on Ernie.

Robert is nice, but love Bertie!

Freddie and Eddie, both sound good with Polly.

MercurySoccer · 08/05/2011 15:45

I like Robert, Frederick with Freddie for short, and Edward/Eddie.

Not keen on Bert or Ernest, they're too obviously following the old man fad.

squeak2392 · 08/05/2011 16:40

Eddie (Edward) and Ernest.

Much prefer Robbie for Robert. Just use Albert if you want Bert.
Freddie's okay, but I don't like Frederick.

Maybeitsbecause · 08/05/2011 17:17

Robert nn Bert and Freddie are both OK.

Edward/Eddie and Ernest/Ernie are awful.

BikeRunSki · 08/05/2011 17:24

Frederrick /Freddie is on my list. Find out what I wam having next month.

tummytickler · 08/05/2011 20:02

Love Ernest. The others are a bit boring.

speakercorner · 08/05/2011 20:38

Ernest!!!!! That would be on my dreadful-names-that-are-never-coming-back list.

evamummy · 08/05/2011 21:34

I like Ernest the most, Robert is nice too. Agree that Edward and Freddie are very widely used already and a little dull in comparison.
