What do you think of Loredana as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Not keen, it sounds quite clunky.

Notice on the baby name finder it says it was invented by the French author George Sand.

It sounds like one of those names that got made up and put on the name finder for a laugh when it first came out.... but I think it might actually be a real name.

It's quite a popular girls name in Romania apparently. I know one and she is Lori more often than not.

Yes it's popular in Italy and Romania. Yes I agree it does sound rather clunky to English ears. Yes, it was made up by an author, but don't forget that ALL names were made up at some point in time by someone, somehow.

Weird name. Laura, Lauren, Loretta, Laurel etc all much nicer.
