Whatever - K/Catherine has never been out of fashion, so it would be difficult to ascribe the choice to a person currently in the public eye. Whereas with a hitherto less popular name, it's more obvious.

I would say either Kathryn or Catherine, or the Welsh Cathryn is nice too. Whatever way you spell it she is going to have to spell it out!

Thinking about it, though the name Rose is lovely (I have one) it is a ubiquitous middle name at the moment, and may become like Louise was for the 80's!

I'd spell it Catherine for preference, Katherine as second choice.

Kathryn Rose is beautiful - really pretty for a young girl but still a nice name when grown up. My daughter's middle name is Kathryn (family spelling). Spelt this way, it gives it a little bit of uniqueness as not spelt the "usual" way - Go for it PotatoWaffle !
