Hi there!

I feel like i have been trawling forever to find a name for my new baby due in 8 weeks!

Do you have any inspiration for me? I have a boy named Fable and a girl Saffron, I desperately need a name for their baby brother!

Thanks :)

Lars is an EXCELLENT name logi, would be a fab choice.

But for OP, I cannot get away from the marvellous trio that would be formed by Fable, Saffron and D'Alan.

Were some people taking the piss? How can you tell? Confused

GitAwfMayLend · 01/05/2011 14:14

Oh come ON OP. Come back and tell us what your dogs and cats are called.

My suggestions: Nigel. d'Angelo. Waldemar.

Lars is indeed a lovely name.

Come back OP, we will try to post in earnest Smile passive/aggressive TM bonsoir

GitAwfMayLend · 01/05/2011 14:15

at Flint, Clint and Ivanhoe.

OP miserable bugger Inigo as suggested is a brilliant name. Saffron, Fable and Inigo.

ChateauRouge · 01/05/2011 15:04

Yeah, I quite like Inigo myself (surname clash though)

Karenhappuch's list is great- many of those were on my list for DS.

thumbwitch · 01/05/2011 15:07

Oh! I was going to suggest Walden but see the OP has already flounced! how tedious.

I think Osiris would go nicely.

ShoutyHamster · 01/05/2011 15:32

Yes come back OP, you don't really have to call him D'Alan

D'Alan will never exist

Chase, Inigo or Merlin.

TotallyUtterlyDesperate · 01/05/2011 15:39

Mabel
Sable
Gable
Able

Cumin
Coriander
Nutmeg
Allspice

Would go nicely, I think :)

OP, you need to relax. If you look around you will see that a bit of a sense of humour goes a long way on Mumsnet. Your children (well, your son) have names which provoke a reaction - presumably that was the plan? No-one has been really mean - they are just pulling your leg a bit.

MayBankHoliday · 01/05/2011 19:46

So did you like any of the suggestions?

DitaVonCheese · 01/05/2011 22:05

Has OP really flounced? :(

OP, don't think folk are taking the piss, it's just a very unusual name. And good for you for having the guts to go with your choice.
TBH, I find it strange that you are having difficulties choosing another name.

I wanted to call my 3rd Gabriel, as in the angel. Luckily DH talked me out of it as he is anything but angelic. In fact we named him Freddie, after Kruger...a sociopathic maniac, which suits him so much better.

ShoutyHamster · 01/05/2011 22:59

Grin secondcoming

They no likey

Poor, never-to-exist D'ALAN

d0gFace · 02/05/2011 15:39

Lars is a great name.
