Are these names too similar?

I LOVE the name Annabelle for a girl but my niece is called Isabelle. Do you think this would cause offence/confusion? Thanks

I think it would be fine

I think of them as different names, not too similar :)

I think it's fine. Lots of potential for abbreviations to differentiate their names or, if they like to be similar, they can be the two Belles Smile.

Depends really.

Do you see them a lot? Is Isabelle shortened to Belle? Is that what you would shorten Annabelle to?

If no to any/all of those, not a problem. BUT if you see them every weekend and both girls are known as Belle I think that might be a bit odd.

Not at all, unless they'll have the same nn.

Isabelle is always called her full name. Occasionally gets called Izzy but my bro hates it! We love the nbd Annie and Belle so shouldn't be a prob. They would see each other once or twice a month as we don't live close by. Thanks for all the responses :-)

In that case it would be fine. Not at all similar if you're not both using Belle as the nickname. I love annabelle by the way. A lot prettier than Isabelle imo.

I prefer spelling Annabel
