Eliana and Saoirse... (Not necessarily looking for another Irish name... Just something that sounds good together and is refreshing and unusual!) I REALLY need to get some serious options going here!

Thanks!

Ohh... How do you pronounce Ciara? I also like Alana and Rosalina, which is close to Rosalie! I really like Chalina as well, which means 'Rose'.

meditrina · 20/04/2011 23:23

Roisin, Siobhan, Tallulah, Maura?

Mairead

bruffin · 20/04/2011 23:36

DD has a friend Ciara (irish mother) and is pronounced Keera

nelly83 · 21/04/2011 07:51

Ciara is said keee ra. If you like that what about Caoimhe said Kee va?

FebreezeYourJeans · 21/04/2011 13:05

I know 3 Ciaras. 2 pronounced Kee-ar-ah (Italien) and 1 Kir-ra

HappyWifeandMum · 21/04/2011 14:29

I actually do like Caoimhe (so glad you included pronunciation!) but just not sure I could pull that here! People are a bit challenged in getting over the silent "o" in Saoirse as it is... I'm not sure I could convince them that an "m" and an "h" should sound like a "v"! It is such a pretty name though!!

is Eliana Irish!? i didn't know that.

Not crazy about Saoirse. I would say Seeurshuh

ValiumBandwitch · 21/04/2011 20:55

Much prefer Orla, lovely suggestion Pilates

HappyWifeandMum · 21/04/2011 21:08

Eliana is Hebrew, not Irish.

And our currently youngest daughter's name is already Saoirse... Very glad it is not horrendously popular, as we really like unusual names, and if too many people liked it too much, it would get too popular for our liking! Grin
