DC2 is due in July and DH flatly refuses to discuss names in any depth until nearer the time Hmm so thought I'd see what MN thinks of my shortlist...

We have a DS, Oscar, and our surname begins with an R and is 3 syllables if that helps?!

Any suggestions of other similarish names that would go well with the chosen middle names welcome.

Boys:

James (current favourite)
Jacob
Harry
Henry
Benjamin (DH not sure about this one)

Middle name will be Douglas after my beloved Grandad.

Girls:

Lucy (current favourite)
Elizabeth (nn Libby)
Hester (nn Hetty)
Rose/Rosie

Middle name will be Eva after DH's lovely Grandma.

Thanks :)

Hester is WAY better than Esther imho. :)

James and Hester or Lucy

I love Hester but your surname begins with R and it might flow together too much. I know an Esther Roberts and it just doesn't sound good IMO.

Elizabeth Eva is nice, don't like Lucy Eva or Rose Eva (but Eva Rose is very nice and was used by someone in my AN group!).

Oscar and Elizabeth make a good sibling pair.

Thank you for all your comments :)

speculation - ooooo, I'm all intrigued now trying to work out who you were/are! Any chance you can PM me? (I promise I won't out you!)

So I think I'm pretty settled on James Douglas if bump is blue - DH agrees with this one.

I really like Hester Elizabeth Eva (nn Hetty) if bump is pink - the more I say it and read it the more I like it. So now to persuade DH Confused as he is stuck on Lucy. Also like Elizabeth Eva (nn Libby).

Oh it's such a minefield!

Henry or Jacob.

Lucy or Libby.

I don't think either middle name works that well with my suggestions though. Really not a fan of Hester, but you can't please everyone! :)
