Already got a Harriet Martha, and expecting DD2 in summer. Any thoughts on these names?

Louisa wins hands down. Love name Harriet Martha by the way!

ALittleLemonTwist · 11/04/2011 22:35

Another vote for Louisa!

MelinaM · 11/04/2011 22:39

Beatrice for meSmile x

SolarPanel · 11/04/2011 22:45

Both lovely names! So hard to choose between them but I think Louisa (with Beatrice as middle name?) would go very well with Harriet Martha.

dapperflapper · 11/04/2011 23:07

Beatrice

notanumber · 11/04/2011 23:49

Louisa. Defintely Louisea.

Hatty and Lulu - just too, too adorable.

BigChiefOrganiser · 11/04/2011 23:53

Beatrice

IHeartKingThistle · 11/04/2011 23:56

Louisa - love it.

jellybeansontoast · 12/04/2011 00:04

Beatrice.

Alice would go nicely with Harriet too.

flyingspaghettimonster · 12/04/2011 01:43

Louisa.

EsmeWatson · 12/04/2011 03:46

Beatrice -LOVE it esp with Harriet. Very pretty!

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 12/04/2011 03:59

Beatrice

Bubbaluv · 12/04/2011 04:07

Both are so nice I would be totally happy with either.
Maybe wait and see if she looks like one or the other?

Northernlurker · 12/04/2011 08:02

I've got a Beatrice, it is a great name. I think Louisa goes better with Harriet though.

Anaxagora · 12/04/2011 08:04

There are quite a lot of Beatrices around, not many Louisas.

ValiumBandwitch · 12/04/2011 08:46

Beatrice goes better with Harriet, but I prefer Louisa

TabloidTart · 12/04/2011 12:57

Thanks everyone. I think the problem is, we live in Germany and while Louisa works better in that everyone would have no problem pronouncing it, it is more common than in the UK - was in the top 20 here last year. I prefer something more unusual really, but they'd never pronounce Beatrice like we do - and Harriet gets really wound up when people pronounce her name wrongly at kindergarten.

Louisa for me.

dangalf · 12/04/2011 17:01

Louisa - for some reason I hate Beatrice. Bea is nice though. Hmm...

pilates · 12/04/2011 17:33

I think Beatrice sounds better with Harriet.

How about Beatrice Louisa?

flopsy1974 · 12/04/2011 18:39

Louisa, beautiful name.

BikeRunSki · 12/04/2011 18:41

Louisa by miles.

SilkStalkings · 12/04/2011 19:44

Ooh Harriet, Martha and Beatrice were all on my girls' list for DS2 - excellent taste madameGrin. Other names we had in mind were Marianne, Nancy and Nico.

Would Beatrix be easier for Germans to pronounce? If you gave her Béa for a nn it wouldn't be so irksome for her perhaps.

going · 12/04/2011 19:47

They are both very nice, see which suits baby best when she is born.

Sinkingfeeling · 12/04/2011 19:58

Oh, excellent taste in names - I have 3 dd and between them they have 2 of your names. :) My vote would be for Louisa.
