Name a boy after his Dad..?

Anyone else done this? Is it really as confusing as I imagine it to be?

I do like the name and DH dead set on the idea (obviously).

Would use a nickname day to day, but fairly sure he would drop this nickname as he got older.

Still, feels slightly unimaginative!

The worst case has to be former boxer George Foreman...his five sons are ALL called George!

I liked it so much, I put my name on it them

DD and I just share the same initials...different first names and a shared (family) middle name, and the mail/bank/phone confusions are endless...not what immediately springs to mind with a new baby, but a few years down the road it can be quite a hassle.
