I'm expecting DD3 end of April. Already have twin DD called Mia Rose and Madison Grace. Any ideas welcome!

Mollie

jukeboxtunes · 01/04/2011 20:13

Hmmmm, not sure whether to have another 'M' name, although I really like Mollie! Will have to think through. Current shortlist is:
Lexi,
Ruby
Kaitlyn
Mackenzie
Belle
Angel
Jordan
though none really stand out. I love Day as a name but DH not sure.

Lexi - bit chavvy IMO
Ruby - lovely
Kaitlyn - lovely
Mackenzie - I know lots of people with this as a surname so I'd say no.
Belle - nice
Angel - ok for a cute toddler but can't see it for an adult
Jordan - sorry but this only makes me think of that big breasted, fame hungry, idiotic trollop that we all know!
Day is a word, not a name. Perhaps if you were set on it you could call her something that could be shortened to Day as a nn - like Dahlia (yuk) or Dana (pron day-na)?
By the way your twins' names are gorgeous.

Mousesmummy · 01/04/2011 21:53

Lexi - reminds me of thoe little Llassa apso (sp?) dogs
Ruby - not bad
Kaitlyn - nice
Mackenzie - awful!
Belle - nice
Angel - purleeese!!!
Jordan - NOOOOOO!!!
Day - NOOOO! Think of the child!

What about Martha? Melody? Actually anything but Jordan Smile

Grabaspoon · 01/04/2011 21:56

When I read out your two first names I seemed to finish the sentence by saying Marlow.

Mia, Madison and Marlow

Mousesmummy · 01/04/2011 21:59

Yep Marlow sounds good Grabaspoon

cece · 01/04/2011 22:02

Lexi, - not keen on this one
Ruby - nor this one
Kaitlyn - I like Caitlin but not your spelling
Mackenzie - AWFUL and every single one I have known has been a horror...
Belle - Like Anabel
Angel - NO!
Jordan - Really? No
Day - I can sort of see where you are coming from but NO!

How about;

Louisa
Jana
Loveday
Lotte
Maria

aristofat · 01/04/2011 22:11

Lexi - pure scally
Ruby - pure scally plus your run of the mill unimaginative dullard
Kaitlyn and it's other spellings - as for Ruby, unless you're an academic who loves Dylan Thomas
Mackenzie - don't even ask
Belle - am not fussed
Angel - don't joke
Jordan - I thought this thread was an April fool!!
Day .....

lolomg · 01/04/2011 22:16

How about some nice names? You might aswell say. Ooh I fancy shopping for something really interesting today - shall I got to Asda or Tesco?

LittleDonkin · 01/04/2011 23:17

If you like Day how about Faraday?
Macy sprang into my mind.

Achneinmeinbein · 01/04/2011 23:19

Alexa (shorten to Lexi - think it is the best fit with twins' names from your list)
Faye
Fiona
April
May

snice · 01/04/2011 23:19

or Loveday?

Hedwig3 · 02/04/2011 09:12

Melody sprang to mind.

Rosa
Annabel
Eloise
Bella

Ruby goes well too.

ilovemilton · 02/04/2011 09:16

Milly

LadyGoneGaga · 02/04/2011 09:18

Marnie?

helendigestives · 02/04/2011 15:40

Melanie, Melody.

ragged · 02/04/2011 16:03

"Day" as a forename? Confused

I like Madison, Mia, Lexi, Mackenzie. The others on your list not my taste.
Of the alternative suggestions, Melody, April, Fiona are all nice imo.

DD has an alter-ego called Marley. She suggests Mae, too.

Emelene · 02/04/2011 16:06

I wouldn't go for a third "m" name personally. Two m names for twins is pretty, but three ... you'd be really stuck if you had a fourth!

Maybe:
Jenna
Harley / Harvey
Georgia (NN Georgie)
Erin
I like Kaitlyn but I would spell it Caitlyn.

But not Jordan. Sorry, I just think of Katie Price. Ew.

Ruby and Bella would be nice too...

Good luck finding your perfect name! :)

MardyBra · 02/04/2011 16:11

Lexi, - nice as a nn - maybe short for Alexis
Ruby - lovely although v popular
Kaitlyn - nice but loathe the k spelling
Mackenzie - OK but not my favourite
Belle - my immediate assumption is Disney princess or Billie Piper's prostitute character. Much prefer Bella.

Angel - sorry to say this but sounds a bit chavvy to my ears
Jordan - too many Katie Price connotations
Day - wierd, but have you considered Loveday - a traditional Cornish name.

Tamsin

Cassie

Ihavewelliesbuttheyrenotgreen · 02/04/2011 20:14

meant to add not really keen on any of your shortlist except perhaps Lexi as a nm for Alexa or Alexis

Gracie123 · 02/04/2011 20:19

Mathilda!! I really wanted a little 'mattie' but DH wouldn't have it Sad
