A middle name instead of Rose?

Hi

All of the girls names we've chosen are 3 syllables and I love the middle name Rose. It so goes with a long first name. But DB and SIL already have a Rose so I'd prefer to use something different.

Any ideas for an alternative single syllable middle name?

thanks

Hiya, I have 5 children, all with a one syllable middle name and im sort of stuck trying t think of one for my baby girl due in June. Were thinking of rose also but its very popular. My13 year old is amber leigh altho leigh is probably dated now n my 2 youngest girls are, isobel grace and daisy rae. Mae is quite popular n its my neices mn so we chose rae instead, dont know if u like those? Someone on here suggested fleur t me which I like, I also like pearl and bea is ok? :)

Thanks guys, some great ideas. I'm liking Jane, Faith and Grace. Nothing is quite beating Rose yet though. I might have to stick with it Smile

Nowt wrong with Rose (I'm biased, it's DD1's middle name with a long first name and we love it). It's a good one because of all of the rose-themed stuff you can buy for yourself and grandparents. Name a rose, rose toiletries, rose jewellery....rose patterned clothes...it goes on and on! (DD has some v.v.cute rose-patterned PJs.)

I'm currently trying to think of something equally good (with associated "stuff" IYSWIM) for DC2 in case it's a girl. Current favourite is 'Pearl' but might push out the extra syllable and go for 'Daisy' or 'Lily' instead. I also like 'May' but DH has reasons for not wanting that.

Grin Blooming

I love "Pearl", but I know a toothless old women with that name and I can't get the image out of my head! Blush

I am most upset about the popularity of Rose - its my middle name and was I was quite unique in the 70's....! LOL

BrassicaBabe · 31/03/2011 15:25

Count yourself lucky, the rest of us got "louise" in the 70s froggers!! Grin

I love the middle name Joy and would use it if I had another DD.

Emelene · 02/04/2011 16:00

I love Hope, or Grace. I also like Anne, Anna, Esme and Elle...

Rose is beautiful, but very popular. I don't know if that would matter so much on a middle name, and if you love it ... why not?

qwerty123 · 02/04/2011 22:59

Would Rosa work? Beautiful name.

You don't have to limit it to short middle names you know Grin

My name and middle name are both four syllables each. It doesn't cause any difficult as most people don't even know my middle anme and I certainly don't ever introduce myself with all my names. It's on my passport and drivers licence but that's it.

Go wild. Choose a long name if you want to.
