Little sis for Freddie

What's the general verdict on the name Lilian? Don't really hear that name much anywhere at the moment. I know it can be shortened to Lili which is still quite popular. Middle name would be Beatrice after grandmother who's still alive. I'm due quite soon, but really stuck on girls names ... Other idea was Leonie??

Love it - DH's nan is called Lilian (never shortened-she's 96 and very specific on the matter) but Lili as a shortening is very sweet. Most are Lily rather than Lili so your spelling will be unique.

Lilian is nice but will likely get shortened to Lily regardless of your preferences; Leonie is also nice, IMO.

BUt I still think you should call her Queenie.

at Queenie, she will be the only one in her class for sure.

How about Ada? My Grandad was Fred and my Nan was Ada. Those names will always go together for me.

Funnily enough I know a Frederick (Fred) and Beatrice (Bea).
Other sibling for a Freddie is Daisy.

Not keen on Lilian myself. Lili is ok. Leonie doesn't sound right with Freddie.

Lilian Beatrice sounds lovely, do not like Leonie.

I love Leonie; really bored with Lilian and Lily.

That's amazing, berliner! I love love love Lilian and Beatrice, and if it wasn't for the fact that LN is Fields and absolutely everyone has assured me that it will get shortened to Lilly, Lilian Beatrice would have been my #1 choice for a girl. Frederick (Freddie) is our #1 choice for a boy, too!
