Here's the shortlist of baby names I'm considering that I generated with Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder. Let me know what you think.

Boys
Arthur
Darragh
Fionn
Gus
Iarla
Naoise
Oliver
Rían
Thomas
Tiernan

Dont love any. Boys name is driving me insane since I found out I was pregnant, am 30+2. A girl will be Kate Anne Elizabeth.

Thanks all Smile

I like Gus the best

Arthur
Oliver
Thomas

are the three I like out of your list, not keen on the others.

Hi BarbieLovesKen!

I like:
Thomas
Oliver
Arthur.

We haven't got a boy's name yet either but it will probably be Thomas but we have got a lot longer to go.

How about Noah if I haven't suggested it on previous threads.

Oliver (biased :))

My reasons for loving it - I love the way it sounds and the nns, I love the various meanings ('elf army' - well DH loves this one :), or olive tree = olive branch = dove = peace, and I love that it has the word 'love' within it (might have said all this on here somewhere before!)

Kaekae · 25/03/2011 18:40

Another biased one here for Oliver. Loved all the meanings blueberrymoon mentions. I still love the name 3.6 years on but its just so much more popular now than it was.

Like Arthur and I know a little boy 2 year old called Gus, a name not heard often.

I'm in the same situation, like a few but don't love any im 26 wks, a few of yours would be on my list but are not for the reasons below

Arthur - don't like at all
Darragh -like, but cousins boy has that name so its off my list
Fionn - like, but next doors wee boy is called this
Gus - don't like soz
Iarla - Love, my DH hates it, i assume its the same name as Iarlaith?
Naoise - like, but think its kinda girly
Oliver - dont get its popularity at all
Rían - quite like but think its a bit girly too
Thomas - not bad
Tiernan - like, but too many round here

can i assume your Irish?? I'm in NI and find most mn-ers dont get the really Irish names as they're so uncommon so dont let that put u off!

UndiscoveredApprentice · 26/03/2011 14:54

Arthur - don't like
Darragh - love, but would spell Dara unless you are Irish
Fionn - Think it sounds feminine, prefer Finn.
Gus - Angus or Fergus are mutch better
Iarla - have no idea how to say it, so no
Naoise - have no idea how to say it, so no
Oliver - very boring
Rían - looks feminine
Thomas - boring
Tiernan - Personally I prefer Kiernan
