has called her new baby Polly. I am feeeeuuuurious. That was the name of my hypothetical future daughter. I even told DH last night that I had decided on it and he wasn't going to change my mind this time. Then what's the first thing I see on the internet this morning? Kym Marsh welcomes baby Polly.

Yes I know she has suffered in the past and this baby is 5 weeks premature and they are lucky to have her safe and well etc etc but Kym, why oh why did you have to use Polly? It'll be in the top 10 in no time along with Bertie, Betsy, Eliza and all the other names I like which have recently been nobbled by the slebs.

I heard she was going to call her Jolly.

I'm sure.

oh bloody hell -i've a 2 year old Polly and I'll feel really sorry for her if it takes off in popularity a la Chloe 5 years ago.

You have had a lucky escape-its a minging name(sorry to the mummies of little pollys but really?). On the other hand I love Vivien(mentioned on here)and everyone else pulls a cats bum face when I say that so what do I know?.

Who's named their daughter Eliza? It was on my list, but will now have to be replaced by Elizabeth.

Polly is the name of my daughter, who is due in 7 weeks time! I'm hoping Kym isn't sufficiently famous enough to make it more popular.

Have Penelope as the first name and use Polly as a nickname.

I do see Polly becoming popular but not because of Kym Marsh, but because cutesy names are very popular.

there was a girl at my school called Polly who was nicknamed and called "filla" for 7 years ... blame that ad with the bloke in the white suit being stuck on a big bit of card and lifted into the air by a helicopter to show how strong the stuff was... even one of the teachers called her it by mistake one day oops

I always wanted Ruby Megan until Charlotte Church named her daughter that!!
