boy or girl?
(I'm wondering if it looks a bit like 'Jamie' for a boy gone a bit wrong, sorry)

Btw there could be some confusion. The Spanish Jaime means James. But I have heard it used for a girl recently - some actress I think. Also possible pronunciation confusions.

A girl I know has that name.

It's a girls name but will get mistaken for Jamie a lot.

My son is Jaimie.
When he was born we couldn't decide where to put the i in the name so just decided to put 2 in.
He's 16 now and he's met others with the same spelling.

I know a bloke called Jaime and he pronounces it High-Mee which is a it too similar to hymen for me! Sorry!

Jaime Sommers (pronounced Jamie) was name of the Bionic Woman in the TV series way back in the late '70s.
I like it but it will mean a lifetime of spelling and explanations.
Also, Jamie is popular boys name nowadays.
