last thread! Opinions please, does the beginning make you think of anything rude as Dh pointed out? Or the animal?

Only if you're French. Otherwise...no.

I'd think of jizz straight away but then I have the sense of humour of a teenage boy so feel free to ignore me!

Beautiful name. So much nicer than some of the old lady names that seem to go down so well on here.

Giselle99 · 31/03/2011 21:03

It's a FABULOUS name and that's a FACT Grin

ValiumSoltera · 31/03/2011 21:07

Even though I knew an absolutely lovely Giselle, the only one I've ever known, I would still say no. It sounds a bit like a bichon frisse, or, actually, I won't go there.

ValiumSoltera · 31/03/2011 21:11

Dreya, toughen up. I've read my children's names slagged off on here! More than once! somebody once did three lines of No no no no no no (i haven't the patience to replicate it here) to one of my children's names and it made me laugh because the poster is funny. fgs, that's life. If you wanted EVERYbody to like the name, you could have called her Emily.

slipshodsibyl · 31/03/2011 21:19

Giselle suffers from poor health and falls in love with an unavailable nobleman who disguises himself as a peasant in order to mess around. She dies of a broken heart when she discovers the truth. Then she awakes from the dead and protects him later. You might say she is above revenge and therefore superior but I think she is a jolly bad role model for a modern girl so I wouldn't choose it!

DizzyPurple · 31/03/2011 21:34

I think its quite pretty. Reminds me of Madame Gazelle (Giselle??) from Peppa Pig though. You can tell what we watch in this house!

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 31/03/2011 23:20

Don't subject your daughter to a lifetime of being called Jizz. Please don't.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 01/04/2011 08:58

Horrible, sounds like gristle or grizzle to me.

argylesocks · 01/04/2011 11:40

I think it's lovely and as someone else said, refreshingly unusual. It seems like there are only about 15 names considered usable on here that just get recycled over and over. Personally, I think it's nice to see suggestions other than Esme, Ivy, Amelia, etc.

We need a bit more variety in life. I think its nice!
