That's it really - do you think that the initials M.A.N for a girl are a no-go? Or do you think that they're not too bad?

Could be worse but I'd think again if possible...

Not good

Do you every honestly think about your friends/colleagues in terms of their initials, including middle names? Do you even know the middle names of most of your friends/colleagues? I don't.

A non-issue. Unless it spells a swear word.

MrsDaffodill · 13/03/2011 14:23

No. My aunt had similar (MEN) and absolutely hated, loathed and detested it. She made us all vow not to do similar to our own children.

Well how often do we use initials now anyway? I wouldnt have thought many people would notice TBH.

I think intitials only matter when they spell something rude too.

Just put in a second middle name so she has one more initial.

Unless you get her clothes, towels, bags, etc monogrammed with her initials then who is going to know?

My friends and colleagues don't know what my middle name is.

I knew someone who had A.S.S as initials once and his parents got him a monogrammed towel with it on but other than taht I wouldn't have known.
