OK. I will never have another baby, but I have a name that I really want someone to use. And none of my real life friends will.So....

....here goes.

It's Clemency. I think it's gorgeous. Mind you, when I tell my 15 year old I wanted to name her it, she says she would have killed me at the first available opportunity if I had, so it does come with a health warning!

Bit of a mouthful?!

GoldenGreen · 12/03/2011 11:24

What a great idea for a thread. I'm not having any more children so please someone use:

Katerina
Milo
Gregory

Thank you

Clemency is beautiful btw

Fayrazzled · 12/03/2011 11:41

I like Clemency too although I know my H would dismiss it as "poncey".

I'd like to add to the list:

Cecily
Louisa
Benjamin

UrsulaBuffay · 12/03/2011 11:52

Please please use Mabel for me somebody!

randomimposter · 12/03/2011 11:54

spooky, have been touting Clemency for ages! Was at school with one, she was ubercool...

Clemency Genevieve would be the combo for me I think.

Gregory is also on my list as is my DBro name.

I'm hoping I still get the chance to use another name, though time running out :(

Clemency is good.

I wouls like someone to PLEASE use Susan. It is such an awesome name. I am planning to have another baby (although that just doesn't seem to be happening Hmm) but my daughter has a hippy rainbow child sort of name and Susan wouldn't work. It would be like having two boys called Thelonious and James.

Underachieving · 12/03/2011 12:48

I can't use Peter ever because it clashes with the surname, not even as a middle name. It's not even debatable- it's a ridiculously awful clash.

Peter anyone?

It's such a sweet name. Please?

PuraVida · 12/03/2011 12:54

Well I'm on the lookout for a name. But DBIL is Peter and BF is Susan. And I think it's going to be a boy, not sure I like Clement. Conjures up a picture of a ruddy cheeked ploughboy

crystalglasses · 12/03/2011 12:56

Why don't you get a pet and give it your favourite name. Araminta the guinea pig sounds nice.

PorkChopSter · 12/03/2011 12:56

I know a baby Peter (Pea), a 5 year old Susan, and about 10 Benjamins.

fifi25 · 12/03/2011 17:30

Ethne - no one will use it and i wasnt allowed to Sad

lisianthus · 12/03/2011 17:33

I love both Clemency and Susan as names.

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/03/2011 17:37

UrsulaBuffay - i have friend who's just used Mabel. Grin

seeker - use it for a chicken. Grin

I've decided to use all my children's names for chickens if i haven't had any when i hit the menopause.
in the meantime, i daren't, just in case child comes along and I've waited its name!

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/03/2011 17:38

ah! just realised (thanks to MrsWoolf) that it's a Virtue!
We're naming the next lot of chickens after Virtues!
I might be able to use it Shock

seeker · 12/03/2011 17:48

Oh, I do so want chickens. Even more now I realize that I could call one Clemency!

nickelbabysnatcher · 12/03/2011 17:50

Tess, Betsy and Trilby (yes, I know) to the list.

Nell
Basil
Percy

MayorNaze · 12/03/2011 18:22

can someone please use:

Ray (for a boy)

Lavinia

Dolores

thank you :)

UnrequitedSkink · 12/03/2011 18:25

I'd like someone to use Xavier and Xander for me - I wasn't allowed either of them. :(

seeker · 12/03/2011 18:28

But I can;t have chickens - we are surrounded by foxes!

OP posts:
thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 12/03/2011 18:29

MayorNaze - my grandad was called Ray and I wanted to use it in DS2's name - but it sounded a bit 'red neck' in the end so we didn't. I'm a bit sad about that.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 12/03/2011 18:41

seeker there was a 'fox-proof' chicken coop on River Cottage a while ago - a coop on stilts with a ladder than foxes couldn't climb. Have tried to google but can't find it - but will keep looking.

tattycoram · 12/03/2011 18:57

I adore my two boys but I would have loved a Tess.
