christopher (chris)
cameron (cam)

Please could you help me choose a name for DS2 little brother to Zac.
I am 38 weeks pregnant and have been agonising over this for months now!

Which do you love / hate?

Thanks so much!!

i don't dislike any of your choices . like toby best and zac and toby sound lovely together

rempy · 03/03/2011 21:18

Am feeling very judgy today, so will indeed give opinion.

Matt deffo 1.

Charlie = baby-ish, see thread running tonight.

Toby = jug. Or dog.

Chris vote 2.

Cameron = naughty boy list (teacher told me that one)

Scott = vote 3. But sounds rather antipodean.

Nicholas = unduly influenced by cad of a boyfriend of BF of that name. So ghastly.

Run the boys names together - you will spend a lot of time in supermarkets/playgrounds etc zac and nic, zac and matt, zac and chris.

smother · 03/03/2011 21:18

I think they are all ok names and fairly inoffensive... not sure if any of them 'go' with Zac too well though. Not that sibling names need to go with each other but they seem quite different.

matthew (matt) - like Matt a lot
charles (charlie) - ok
toby - ok
christopher (chris) - neutral
cameron (cam) - not with current PM
scott - beam me up
nicholas (nick) - neutral

sorry not to be of more help

baskingseals · 03/03/2011 21:19

absolutley love Toby - it's a great name, agree with mummyp

thisisyesterday · 03/03/2011 21:20

Nicholas. definitely

or if not then Christopher, but only if you shorten it to Kit Grin

smallsniffle · 03/03/2011 21:23

I like Zac and Toby together, nothing much wrong with any of the others but that's the one I like best.
Cameron is a nice name but I'm with smother in worrying about current PM link.

mamaJK · 03/03/2011 21:29

i didn't even think of the PM. this is what I need you guys for - any way to narrow it down!!
I will definitely have to check out the charlie thread.
between that and Mr sheen i think it's out too!

yeah, agree with smother.

Of the names you listed i think Cameron "goes" best.
(Toby sounds very different to Zac to my ear)

But how about Zac and
Joseph - Joe
Finian - Finn
Jude
Benedict - Ben/Ned

PepsiPopcorn · 03/03/2011 22:03

I like Charles, Nicholas and Christopher best from your list :)

definitelynot · 03/03/2011 22:06

I like Nick best. I used to love Cameron, but these days it has some negative connotations for me...

exoticfruits · 03/03/2011 22:26

Nicholas, Christopher and Matthew, in no particular order-all nice. I don't like the rest.

Onion1968 · 03/03/2011 22:39

they are all good but depends on your surname really

pilates · 04/03/2011 10:42

Matthew and Charles for me.

RetroMum1 · 04/03/2011 11:05

I think they are all fine but for me Toby is the only one that really goes with Zac. I'm not keen on Scott either but that's only from a memory of one at school.

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/03/2011 11:10

Like toby or scott.

fifi25 · 04/03/2011 11:11

Matthew then Christopher Smile

confusedperson · 04/03/2011 11:15

I like Toby, Christopher and Nicholas.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/03/2011 15:23

Matthew is my fave but then I am biased. After that I like Toby. Think Toby and Zac sound lovely together.

AnathemaDevice · 04/03/2011 21:23

Nicholas. Best boys name ever, in my very biased opinion!

expectingno3 · 04/03/2011 21:25

Zac and Charlie or
Zac and Toby

muminthemiddle · 04/03/2011 21:30

I think Toby and Zac go well or Toby and Nick.

kitkat1000 · 04/03/2011 21:44

toby for me! - the rest are a bit "safe' compared to zac and don't really go

DownyEmerald · 04/03/2011 21:47

Toby becomes "tobes" tho'. Do you like tobes?
