Names you'll never get to use...

When I was pregnant with my 2 DS's I had boy and girl names decided on before the 20 week scans!

I had 2 DS's, and after the last one we decided no more, so my girl name will go unused and I feel a little sad about it. It was a great name.

Anyone else feel like this

Go for it sevendwarves. Also liked that you could use Ria as a nickname. Don't love the name enough to have another baby although was tempted.

Well, seeing as DH vetoed them, even if we do have another child, I'll never have a Gabe, Raphael, Zeke or Xander.

And as DH seems to produce mini-DH clones am fairly sure even if I did go for a third child I'd never have a Naomi, Lalita or Iona.

Oh well.

Xavier. Have always loved it but DH has vetoed it. He will never have Imogen.

Also like the name Kitty but could never have a K or C because of our surname.

holly - for the baby born at christmas - turned out to be a boy!

Louisa, Josephine, Ciaran, Luke.

Gender not an issue here - adopted children come with their own names - (My DS has three lovely names from his birth mum)

Eliana - no girls here, sadly.

Cailan. For my fantasy beautiful baby boy! 2 gorgeous girls later and very I'm happy (and lucky), but I know exactly where you're coming from OP. I do feel a little saddened by the redundant name.

Nyree is absolutely beutiful! (I'm not helping am I).

shivster we added a few to our DS2's birth names. Kept his first name and put a some more in the middle

Naomi, I hav three boys and no more.

I also love the name Duncan, but DH didn't like it. DS3 would have made a great Duncan.

Never had my Dorothy or Edward.

Never mind, am very very happy with my lot.

I know they're popular as all get out at the moment so probably would have steered clear anyway: but my surname is Oliver. Just can't do it!

thefirstMrsDeVere We would probably have done that too had it not been for the fact that one of DS's names happens to be my DH's name which seemed correct to leave as it was - a lovely coincidence. Plus we weren't brave enough to give him more than 2 middle names.

shivster more than 2 middle name would just be cruel, lovely that one of his names is the same as your DH's though!

Yes I do. I cant always remember which order DC5's names are in

A couple with 3 syllables William and Cassius but most have one or two.

I know its a bit mad but I have my reasons.

DD and DS1 only have the one and two middle names (DS1 got my dad's).

DS2 is adopted and had a few but we wanted to give him some. DD chose one (which is now especially important) and I chose one. We did ask DS1 but he only came up with Legolas

DS3 has the long masculine version of his sister's name (William) and DS4 has the short masculine version (Billy). Poor DS4, he is my last so I squeezed my other favourites too

Reuben, Bailey, Sunshine, Elwood.

Not really a finacial option for us to have another child.
