Hoping to start TTC #2 later this year.

Please suggest some names for consideration, last time I found the responsibility very stressful and I want to find it fun if I'm lucky enough to have another baby! I can think of names for other people's children no problem, but for my LO it was HARD.

Criteria would be;

*Nothing difficult to spell or pronounce.

*Not too pretentious aspirational IYSWIM - would it sound ok if Sean Bean, Alan Bennett or the cast of Coronation Street were saying it? Unusual is fine though.

Preferably nothing beginning with A, C or J.

(I have told DP that if it's a boy he can have a stupid unusual name that he wanted last time, but I don't think he really expects me to go along with it. Won't say what it is for fear of outing myself/offending the inevitable person who has a child with that name!)

TIA Brew

Prefer Stella and Patrick for what it's worth. How about:

Meryl
Rachel

Laurence
David

Good luck!

Rachel and David would have been near the top of our list but are the names of close (living) family members!

Meryl is not my cup of tea (it's the "ryl", I don't like Beryl or Cheryl either) and Laurence is a bit foppish I think. I could pull off a son called Laurence but my DF and FIL couldn't and he'd end up being Lozzer :(

Which is a shame because the more I look at it, the more I quite like Laurence (I knew a Laurie once and he was a very nice chap). I LOVE Laurent, but we are not remotely French and it wouldn't wash.
