Congratulations on pregnancy, We still hadn't decided on a boys name when DC3 was born. Luckily for us we did have a girl's name which she turned out to be otherwise it would have been 'baby' for a while. Hope someone comes up with a suggestion you like!

Every Zac here, and there are thousands has a brother called Max or / and Sam, almost without exception.

thank you all so much! there are some great ideas here i hadn't thought of - and yes regeneration, unusual surname so i like the traditional / simple names - really like everything suggested so far.

I totally agree summer - can't believe how popular zac is so I'm ignoring whether the names i like are too popular this time as no doubt he'll end up in a class with 3 others anyway!

strange to me that people would choose max / sam as they sound so similar to zac i think - or maybe that's why they liked it?

ps hmmsleep if DC does turn out to be a girl we had THOUSANDS of names! typical eh?

Btw we have a max and he is the only one in his school of 200. Infact he's the only one we know except the relative he was named after. I see comments all the time on musmnet that such and such a name is too popular and I don't know anyone, child or adult, with that name. I suspect they are only "overused" in south Kensington or islington
