Not preg but was watching a film last night and a guy in it was called Todd, and I thought what a lovely name.

Then I thought about Todd and Cody from Neighbours.

Anyway, if I had another buy I'd call him Todd.

For me it will always be the name of a fox in my favourite childhood film.

pickledpoo · 17/02/2011 01:17

I immediately thought of Sweet Valley High Blush Not for me, but I am surprised it hasn't taken off more like all the other US names.

BigChiefOrganiser · 17/02/2011 03:38

I can't say I know any Todd's/s/s' (damn those apostrophes/'s/s' Confused)

It always seemed a stodgy kind of name to me.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 17/02/2011 09:47

I know one. He is a Scot.

OliveMalay · 17/02/2011 17:53

I can only think of one Todd, and that's Todd Carty (actor in Grange Hill).

peeriebear · 17/02/2011 17:58

Todd off Neighbours every time!

moondog · 17/02/2011 17:58

With very good reason.

MelinaM · 17/02/2011 18:00

Neighbours for me too! Very American name I feel! x

exexpat · 17/02/2011 18:07

I've met quite a few Todds but they have all been American and my sort of age - no children, let alone British children.

breatheslowly · 17/02/2011 18:10

I just think Sweeney.

TabithaTwitchet · 17/02/2011 18:10

I've never met a Todd - but wasn't there a character in Robin Hood called Todd?

Makes me think of toddler, hot toddy and "on my tod(d)" (what does that actually mean?)

AFox · 17/02/2011 21:22

Isn't Todd also a Character on 'Zing Zillas'?

bellissima · 17/02/2011 21:59

Shared a student house with a Todd. But that was his surname. Horrible as a first name. todd/sod/clod

Cheeruploveitmightneverhappen · 17/02/2011 22:06

Rod and Todd

cloudydays · 17/02/2011 22:34

me too rhubarbgarden . Don't think I'd use Todd for my child, but I'd use it before I'd use Copper. :)

There was a Todd in Corrie too - Eileen Grimshaw's son.

cece · 17/02/2011 23:44

I know a Todd, he is about 13 years old now.

Think it is more popular downunder...

loscann · 18/02/2011 07:51

I just think of The Todd from Scrubs.

tomatoesontoast · 18/02/2011 08:20

is it short/a nn for something?
I can only think of one in neighbours/H&A? who had spiky hair, and tucker jenkins

clarkland · 18/02/2011 09:13

....My first ever boyfriend was called Tod nickname for Rhodri. Ooo he was lovely but it only lasted a week and we broke up because I mentioned that I might fancy 'Romano' as we were watching TJ Hooker! He confirmed his love for Heather Locklea (of the same show) and we decidied we just weren't compatible.x
