Rowan, Isaac or Noah?

This is the furthest I have got at making any kind of shortlist for ds3, who is due in a few weeks.

Can you let me know which you prefer - any feedback welcome! And my other two are Harry and Joseph, if that helps at all.

Thanks x

My favourite is Noah. I think it will sound good with your other boys too.

dexifehatz · 12/02/2011 20:33

Isaac definatly! it was on the top five names for our ds :)

jellybeans · 13/02/2011 00:31

Noah.

FooffyShmoofer · 13/02/2011 11:46

Rowan (I am biased)Smile

ThatllDoPig · 13/02/2011 13:14

I'd go for Rowan.
Isaac is Joseph's daddy in the bible, and Noah is getting v popular.

LilyBolero · 13/02/2011 13:17

Isaac goes best with Harry and Joseph.

agirlcalledvicky · 14/02/2011 14:46

Oooh you have good taste in names - all ones we considered (we went for Arthur in the end). Noah is very common round here. Isaac is gorgeous and goes well with your other DS names. Love Rowan but although its unisex I always think of it as a girls name and I don't think it fits as well with your DS names.

slowangels1 · 14/02/2011 14:48

Love all 3 but would choose rowan - that was our boys name choice (having a girl though). We did have noah on our boys list too but it is becoming very popular. Rowan is a fab name and I love it Grin

JamieLeeCurtis · 14/02/2011 19:29

I like all of them, but prefer Isaac and Rowan

Would you consider

Evan
Asa

blowninonabreeze · 14/02/2011 19:34

I think Rowan is a marmite name Smile

But I love it! Def my favourite of the three

SilkStalkings · 14/02/2011 19:34

I also find Rowan a little effeminate, probably due to years of watching The Wicker ManGrin.

SleepySleeperson · 15/02/2011 17:42

Thanks for all your feedback! I hadn't realised how popular Noah had become until I posted, we don't know any little Noahs! Still trying to make a decision but it's good to have so many views!

My ds is isaac. He's three now and I still love it. He gets called ikey now but there's loads of other variations he can choose from thou he insists on Isaac. Plus it's not that common.

pinkgirlythoughts · 15/02/2011 20:06

I'd go with Isaac, as Rowan and Noah will invariably end up being shortened to Row and No, at least some of the time, which will rhyme with the 'Joe' you already have!

eh, not really, Jacob IS Joseph's daddy in the bible..

MollysChambers · 16/02/2011 09:04

Isaac and Noah are great.

Don't like Rowan at all. Not keen on unisex names generally.

Moffit · 16/02/2011 14:09

Isaac, is my favourite of the names on your list!

Hope88 · 17/02/2011 16:08

Rowan

flopsy1974 · 17/02/2011 16:30

Isaac without a doubt.

FooffyShmoofer · 17/02/2011 16:46

A way to spell Rowan so as not to confuse with a girl is Rohan.

This purely a male spelling and pronounced almost exactly the same.
Pronunciation Ro-an with a silent H. It's gaelic origin. Just a thoughtSmile

freckleye · 18/02/2011 18:32

My DS1 is Noah Isaac! The name Noah has surprised me in its rise in popularity in the 4 years since we chose it...still adore it tho but am biased!

OracleInaCoracle · 18/02/2011 18:37

ds is a noah, i love it. its a bit more popular now but still a long way from jack/harry/ethan.
