Can you help me decide please? Current favourites are Robyn or Niamh, but other suggestions welcome, have to get her registered ASAP! DP likes Grace or Elliot.

I'd love a Nancy Joan.

walesblackbird · 04/02/2011 17:10

I know a Nancy Beatrice.

freerangeeggs · 04/02/2011 18:10

I like Nancy Robyn best.

How about Nancy Jean?

reikizen · 04/02/2011 18:12

being offended by Nancy as a girly and pink name emoticon.

Fimbo · 04/02/2011 18:18

Nancy Eloise

Nancy Niamh is dreadful (sorry, but then it's not my choice)

She's gorgeous!

Catherine
Esme
Mary
Ruth
Charlotte

This isn't helping, is it?

The problem is that I have one and I like old lady names - but I don't think you do- so given your brief...

to me the 'y' at the end of Nancy runs into 'Elliot'.

From Robyn and Faith, I think I prefer Faith - but it depends on your surname? How does it sound out loud to you?

Wafflenose · 04/02/2011 20:09

Ooh, I like Nancy Catherine or Nancy Mary or Nancy Ruth! Nancy Robyn sounds fine too!

How about Nancy Ellen (did someone already suggest it? Can't remember) or Ellie or Elle? When looking at your gorgeous pictures, for some reason I wanted to think of a middle name beginning with E, but not keen on Elliot for a girl, sorry.

Ilovekittyelise · 04/02/2011 20:23

Nancy Elizabeth
Nancy Jane

frankenfanny · 04/02/2011 20:27

I like old lady names (would have had Ishbel or Elspeth) but DH was vehemently against- he likes American/modern/tomboy names- so you can see why it has been so difficult.

I think it is going to be Robyn- bit of a toss up but I think a consonant makes a stronger middle initial with less chance of making a word from the initials.

I thank you on behalf of Nancy for the compliments!

That's a whole classful of Nancys math. Think I should call Andrew Lloyd Webber for a contest? Wink

Cheers everybody, have some Wine. Will let you know when she is registered what the final decision was.

Just to say thanks everyone and we bit the bullet and registered her- she is Nancy Robyn for better or worse. Hope she likes it.

Glad you decided in the end. It's a relief to make a decision isn't it? We only registered our DS last week at 5 weeks old - so unsure this time round.

MrsDeidreIppy · 15/02/2011 17:24

What about something more classic and traditional?
