I think it's what you do to boils.

SarahScot · 03/02/2011 21:11

Don't like it at all, sorry.

said · 03/02/2011 21:17

Lance? Awful. Boils. On a par with Vince

nancythenaughtyfairy · 03/02/2011 22:10

Pronunciation could be tricky - Lance or Larnce?

BelligerentGhoul · 03/02/2011 22:11

Don't like it at all.

One - it sounds like the name of an orange body builder;

Two - I once taught a horrible one;

Three - it's really hard and unpleasant sounding.

medoitmama · 03/02/2011 22:13

Nope, sorry. Not keen.

worldgonemad72 · 03/02/2011 22:21

yuk - sorry!

cece · 03/02/2011 22:23

I like it and wanted it for my Ds. DH disliked it though so it got vetoed.

Cicatrice · 03/02/2011 22:23

Its a bit Mills and Boon hero - if you ask me.

jezebelle · 03/02/2011 22:25

Reminds me of Home and Away in the 90's, or was it Neighbours ??

nomorepets · 04/02/2011 14:05

lets hope its a girl then, though she is also thinking of Harrison for a boys name.

OP posts:
AllieW · 04/02/2011 14:06

Not at all keen. Like jezebelle it reminds me of Australian soaps.

mathanxiety · 04/02/2011 15:21

Reminds me of the old sitcom Cheers. 'Lance Mannion' was one of Sam's fake identities - an attempt at a macho name that was in fact very comical.

seeker · 04/02/2011 15:23

Used car salesman in a camel hair three quarter length coat and a moustache.

JaquesTouatte · 04/02/2011 15:39

IMO, there's nothing wrong with Lance, as long as the surname isn't Boyle, Jack, or Sargeant.

hf128219 · 04/02/2011 15:40

Makes me think of a Tournament!

yama · 04/02/2011 15:40

Home and Away (back in the day)

NormanTheForeman · 04/02/2011 15:43

It makes me think of Lance Klusener (formerly a South African cricketer), who is very strong and hit loads of 6s. So it has good associations for me. Not sure I'd like it otherwise.
