I'm with the Grange Hill generation. but we're probably all old, well, middle-aged, giffers now - if the OP is too young to make that association then so will her peers be, and obviously the kids' peers will be. and gps too old. on its own merits it's not a bad nam but I can't say I'm keen.

[just an aside to the Roland Rat generation...what was that hamster that knocked about at around the same time?...I have never seen a funnier out-take than the hamster saying (in Roland Rat's voice) "Hello, I'm Roland Rat. [pause] Oh bugger it, I'm not am I?"

rolandweary you are right! Errol the Hamster, Kevin the gerb. And apparently he had a guinea pig girlfriend called Glenis!

I've got the out-take wrong - it was Kevin the gerbil, and he said it in Kevin's voice. Kevin was much better and funnier than Roland. (which is not a suggestion to the op!) sorry for hi-jack.

i think i have still got the Rat rap single with a coloured picture of Roland on it. Yehhhhhh
