Jude for a boy?

DS due on march 22nd. What does everyone think about the name Jude? Ive had real mixed reactions so far....

I know 5 all under 12 months. 3 boys, 2 girls.

It is getting more popular. It's gone from not used very much at all to top 100 for boys very quickly indeed. Is also getting more popular for girls.

I think it's very up and coming but doesn't matter if you like it.

I don't think it's that popular. If I remember rightly, last tear Jude was number 99 on the top 100 and there were only about 500 or 600 boys named Jude in the UK (mine being one!).

It certainly is getting more popular, but I can't imagine it getting too popular.

I'm a female Jude and love it. Sooooooo many people greet you with 'Hey Jude' but fortunately it still makes me grin.

Love it. For a boy and a girl. Esp like the patron saint of lost causes bit as in someone to look to when you are without hope. We didn't go with it for DS as Jude Law was very much a thing at the time.

The name of my Godson. It's a great name though it's been getting a bit more popular round here.

DS is at school with a 12yo Jude - he does get called Judy but he's a strong character so doesn't care.

Jude Law notwithstanding, I can't help but think of it as being terribly close to Judith and am therefore not keen.
