Why are boys so hard to name? Please help name DS2.

DS1 is Ivo and DS2 is several days old and no closer to being named.

The only name DP and I both love is Arlo, but I can't picture having an Ivo and an Arlo. Are they too similar?

DP likes Archie, Hamish and Angus but I don't.

I like Seth, Jonah and Leon but DP doesn't.

Any suggestions where we go from here?

Arlo and Ivo has tripping up over yourself potential - the yelling out of the back door would have to be substituted by "BOYS" or "oi you two" but I don't think it's too bad.

Arlo is fine with Ivo if thats the name you both love, I wouldnt worry too much about the same ending

I've just had an Arlo, 3 months ago! It's a fine name! As per usual, took ages to name him (a week), then when we did, realised it was an anagram of one of our other kids names (Orla). I don't give a tit how many people point it out: so, if your little fella looks like an Arlo to you. go for it!

I like Ivo as well. As it's an old germanic name, I think it goes well with other old names such as Ludovic (or Lodevicious) or Vladimir.

We've decided to try Arlo for a few days before making it public. DS1 loves it, although he was suggesting we call DS2 Ivo anyway so we didn't think the similarity would bother him.

Will be back when the final decision is made - or in search of more suggestions if we end up being unable to get our heads (and tongues) round it!
