What do you think of Elodie.

I've mentioned it to one or two people. Big mistake! The reactions haven't been great, they've also not heard of it before and mixed it up and misheard for Melody.

I've asked this before, but why is this name all the rage on here? Where have people heard it? Is there some celeb who has brought it to prominence? I knew someone back in the 80s who called their daughter Elodie (this was in France) and I had never heard the name before, nor have I come across it since. Yet it regularly crops up on MN. How come?

I absolutely LOVE this. I also like Eleri and Eleni.

Sadly none of them go with our surname

Not my taste, but it's fine and is well liked on here. I didn't know it was very unusual, though can't recall where it is in stats.

I love it, but, it is terrible with our surname. It sounds like Nelly the Elephant when they run together :)
