Middle name required

I am expecting a boy in 10 weeks and have really struggled to think of a name I love. Favourites (that partner and I can agree on!) are Charlie or Edward (Eddie). Need some middle names please. We have a little girl (2) called Amelie Faith. So need to be sure the names sound good when said together as well. Personally I think Amelie and Edward sounds better than Amelie and Charlie. So, as usual I am rambling, what middle names would you choose for Charlie or Edward and which do you think sounds best with Amelie?

I love both names a,though prefer to give Charles or Edward as formal name and use nn forbear to day. I like ned as a nn for Edward.

My godson is charles Harry.

BelligerentGhoul · 10/01/2011 21:45

Edward sounds best and is a much nicer name. Not fond of Eddie though, sorry.

Edward Charles?

Edward Mark
Edward James
Edward Benjamin
Edward Thomas
Edward Laurence
Edward John

I think most traditional names go nicely tbh. Or for something a bit more unusual:

Edward Barnaby
Edward Jem
Edward Kit
Edward Bartholomew

clarkland · 10/01/2011 21:45

I like Ned as a nn for Edward too. I think Edward has a lot more scope to stand the test of time and grow with the child.

Just thought maybe the 'clark' in your username was something special - YOUR BLOODY NAME so yes Smile
I totally agree that boys names are infinitely harder than girls names!! We only had one we both agreed on (but my second fav was Edward!!)

clarkland · 10/01/2011 22:45

Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas.x

Amelie and Charles/Charlie go together much better.

Edward does not have the style that Amelie has so sounds very dull in comparison.

Sorry to contradict Blush
