OK! We have a little girl. 1 day old and nameless.

There are our two potential candidates that I would like your opinions on/ votes for. Please do not be overly negative as we will be using one of these names.

So is it...

Florence

or

Inken (In-ken)

Inkpen sounds like a made up name.

sadiesadiemarriedlady · 07/01/2011 14:35

Inken as it's unique and different. Florence is very popular but it depends on what you want.

rachel234 · 07/01/2011 14:35

Inken is lovely, Inkie is a sweet nickname for when she's smaller.

I agree that Florence is quite 'fashionable' these days and will probably date more than a more timeless name. Also not keen on the Cameron association.

I hadn't heard of Inken before reading this thread earlier. I'm starting to really like it. Inkie is a very cute nn. Isn't the little pink thing on Finding Nemo called Inkie? I love the bit when she says "You guys made me ink!" Grin

tebbles · 07/01/2011 18:12

I have never heard of Inken either but I like it bettern than Florence! Inkie is a very sweet nickname.

minipie · 07/01/2011 18:23

Inken, if you have the relevant heritage.

pinguwings · 07/01/2011 19:17

Inken

Janoschi · 07/01/2011 19:24

Inken! Inken! LOADS of folk have a Florence. Inken is so pretty... want to steal it for my list! And Inky is just gorgeous as a nn for a toddler. Can be upgraded to Inks when older.... LOVE IT.

Rhubarbgarden · 07/01/2011 19:31

Inken

mumoftoomany · 07/01/2011 22:44

Florence will start to date soon imo, for that reason alone I'd choose Inken - it is lovely, timeless and rarely used.

LittleYellowTeapot · 09/01/2011 12:46

Have you chosen yet OP?

BelligerentGhoul · 09/01/2011 12:49

Florence is lovely. Not at all fond of Inken/Inkie, sorry.

nowwearefour · 09/01/2011 12:50

Inken is so sweet.

rachel1970 · 10/01/2011 19:13

Inken is lovely and timeless.

lochnessmumster · 10/01/2011 19:24

congratulations! another vote for Florence here, although both are lovely. x

COCKadoodledooo · 10/01/2011 19:31

Inken. Though I might be swayed as it's a bit more unusual and there seems to be a predeliction for Florence around here.

Just looked up the meaning, and I think it's perfect, especially for a first!

Congratulations!

Hulababy · 10/01/2011 19:32
