To Seth Jacob as a name for a boy?

I don't even know if I'm having a boy or girl yet, find out in 3 weeks :D but while I have lots of girls names that I love (a girl will mean it'll be tough choosing my favourite) Seth is the only name I really like at the moment for a boy, but a few family members have turned their noses up as it's an "old man's name". I know it's really early to be thinking of names (17+5 today) but can't help it!

What's your thoughts?

I like Seth, but prefer Saul. Saul sounds less long white beard.

WKWTWB - yep that's the fella, I adored him when I was younger and used to watch Emmerdale, my ultimate goal is to get DP to grow his own set of chops ans a big handlebar moustache! Wink Don't be sorry, you're entitled to your opinion, as is the wicked random internet woman who "really, really dislikes it" (BelligerentYhoULE Grin)

But i'm feeling buoyed up by the mainly positive reactions - if it's a blue one then Seth it is!! xx

I like it a lot more than I usually like the names on these threads!

Sounds like a proper blokes name but cool with it.

Sidge · 30/12/2010 23:07

Where I live he'd be called Seff Grin

I know a Zeph, who everyone always thinks is a Seth.

Underused, but not 'out there'. I like it Smile
