AFox's baby name shortlist

Here's the shortlist of baby names I'm considering that I generated with Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder. Let me know what you think. We are just thinking about trying for no 2. We already have Noah

Sophie
Phoebe

Like both boys' names. Not over-fond of either of the girls' names but would choose Sophie if I had to. Dp wanted Sophie for dd1.

Thinking Sophie Olivia

Like Luca and Sophie. Not keen on the other two

Like all the names except Luca, it always makes me think of the Susan Vega song (shows age emoticon).

All of them are lovely. My cousin has DSs Luca and Ollie, and my friend has DDs Olivia and Sophie! So quite popular, but great names nonetheless

Oliver - like
Luca - a bit fussy, and sounds a bit feminine ending in a. Prefer Luke.
Sophie - lovely, Sophia even nicer
Phoebe - very pretty

Lots of Italian little boys called Luca, and not sure it goes with Noah that well...

Like both girls names but prefer Phoebe. Sophie's lovely, but its a bit safe.

What about Judah?

Quite like the 'ah' sound at the end of the name (like No-ah)

Luca - not keen, prefer Luke
Sophie - like
Phoebe - like
Sophie Olivia - like (but be aware of initials that would spell a word)

Would spell SOF which we thought is a bit like a shortened version of Sophie.

But I suppose if she married any one with surnames beginning with B (SOB) or D (SOD), she might not thank us. I think we are rather set on Sophie Olivia. Olivia for sentimental / family reasons. And my husband and I have always liked Sophie

I like Luca, but not so sure if it goes with Noah... Not so keen on Oliver though.

I do love Sophie Olivia :) They are two of my favourite girls names!

I don't like Miles or Charles (although Charlie is cute). Peter is a very common name in my family. Samuel is DS middle name. Aaron irritates me if pronounced differently to how I think it should be. Quite like the others. Micah and Isaac stand out to me.

Quite liking Caleb at the moment

I love Oliver even though it's very popular. A gorgeous name. Luca sounds a bit strange to me if you're not Italian.

Sophie Olivia is lovely too.

Love Micah and Isaac. Beautiful. Caleb sounds too Appalachian to me, or like a name you'd find in some commune in Idaho.

Baby 2 is on the way. Due in October, so really need to start thinking about names.

I really like Judah, Joseph, Daniel, Jacob and Joshua. Also Joel, Seth, Samuel, Leon, Reuben...

For girls I like Anna, Lydia, Talia, Sadie, Dora, Rachel, Stella and Julia.

Judah is a lovely name.

we have very similar taste!!! we have Noah and are due another baby in june. for girls' names we have chosen sophia or chloe, but sophia is defo the front runner.

for boys Luca is the only name i love but DH thinks it's ridiculous if we're not italian so has vetoed it. makes me so said as it's the only name i like as much as noah. other names we are thinking of are sam, toby, jake, luke and james. but none of them are luca :(

other names i like but DH doesn't are oliver, henry, jasper, ethan.
