What do you think of Ashlea as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.
Just wondering about the opinion on the unusual spelling

I'm afraid it makes me think of a dairy product - maybe a new kind of cheese? Dairylea etc. And she'd get fed up of having to spell it for everyone.

Dairylea. Even before I saw expat's reply.

I absolutely hate it, sorry, and I don't say that often. I know an Ashleigh and and Ashley and I quite like those. Ashlea looks like it should be pronounced 'Ash - lee - uh' (I know it isn't).

It sounds like a house name to me. Sorry, I'm not keen.

Ashley is nice.

I can't see any need to spell it differently (it's just asking for everyone to keep getting it wrong).

Cheese spread. Horrible name whichever way you spell it.
