Thea, Juliet or Louisa

Definately NOT Lara, Cleo or Elena

Rosa or Cara are ok - but I like the other three best.

By the way - you may want to consider a namechange for yourself. There is a very well known poster called scottishmummy - and she has a very definate personality! Xmas Grin

Rosa ok, but sounds like a nn
Lara ppl might say Dr Zhivago but I like it
Juliet nice, solid
Cara lovely
Thea don't like this, sounds like a nn
Louisa very traditional, bit boring
Cleo a bit chavvy
Elena I like it but it might cause pronounciation probs

Thanks for all your feedback Xmas Smile Darle whats nn?

Really liking thea but also like names that can be shortened (eg lulu for louisa) to give a bit more choice as baby grows up.

nn = nickname

how are you pronouncing Elena (is it eh-lay-na or ell-eh-na?)

Really like Thea actually, and Cleo is a bit more unusual.

Not so keen on Juliet

Do they all 'go' with your DS's name? (and have you considered middle names and therefore initials?)

Rosa - gorgeous
Lara - love it
Juliet - beautiful
Cara - not so keen
Thea - gorgeous
Louisa - not keen
Cleo - lovely
Elena - one of my favourite names

It depends on the surname, really. My partner's surname begins with a 'R', which means that I can't have R-names or anything like Laura, Lara, Clara, Thea, etc. because the speaker trips over the last syllable. This isn't his surname, but for instance: LAU-ruh-RUH-kit.
